Eden: Untamed Planet (2021)

Episode Overview

Borneo stands as the most diverse rainforest island, boasting 60,000 species of flora and fauna, including 6,000 that are found nowhere else on Earth, with new discoveries occurring almost daily. However, this seemingly utopian landscape masks a harsh reality; the vibrant forest thrives on a barren foundation, as the soil is shallow and devoid of nutrients, drained over millennia by relentless rainfall. This episode delves into the fierce struggle for nourishment that has shaped Borneo into one of the planet's most biodiverse ecosystems.
